Maestros TangoToRussia 2026

Diego Ortega

Diego is one of the most renowned figures in contemporary Argentine tango, boasting an impressive professional background. Born and raised in Buenos Aires, he began studying tango at an early age under the guidance of masters from the city's legendary milongas. His style blends traditional tango elements with modern technique and artistry. He places special emphasis on "tango salón" — a style designed for the social dance floor that prioritizes improvisation, musicality, sensitive leading, and natural movement aesthetics.
Diego is a finalist and medalist in numerous Argentine tango world championships. In 2010, he won the "Mundial de Tango" in the " Tango Escenario" category.

Aldana Silveira

Aldana Silveyra is an Argentine tango dancer and instructor from Buenos Aires.
From a young age, Aldana studied tango with leading Argentine masters, actively honing her technique and developing her own teaching methodology. Her dancing blends softness, musicality, and precise connection with her partner—qualities she strives to pass on to her students.
In her teaching, Aldana places special emphasis on musicality, comfort within the partnership, and the development of individual expression. During classes, she tactfully highlights the importance of technique—both for understanding tango traditions and for unlocking each student's personal style.

Julián Sánchez

Julián Sánchez
Julián Sánchez is a maestro, choreographer, and professional tango dancer from Buenos Aires.
In 2023, he won the "Mundial de Tango" (Tango World Championship), becoming a world champion.
Julián has been involved in tango since 1999; he trained in Buenos Aires (at Tango 2000 and Tango y Cultura), worked at the Roberto Herrera studio and with the Tango Nuevo company, and underwent rigorous stage training at the Mora Godoy Academy (covering salsa, jazz, ballet, and both "escenario" and "salón" styles). He has danced and performed in shows in Buenos Aires and on international tours (including Japan, Europe, and Latin America), appeared at festivals and congresses, and serves as a judge at national and international championships.
His students and colleagues include instructors from top dance schools and experienced dancers who continue to uphold and apply his methodology in their own work.

Mikhail Nadtochiy

An Argentine tango instructor with over 20 years of experience, Mikhail Nadtochiy—known in the tango community by the evocative nickname "El Gato"—is rightfully considered a leading figure in the world of Argentine tango.
He regularly conducts masterclasses and performs at prestigious festivals across Europe (Spain, France, Italy, Switzerland, Germany, Austria, the Czech Republic, Greece, Serbia, and Romania), as well as in Asia and the Middle East (China, India, Qatar, and the UAE) and even New Zealand. For him, tango is not merely a dance but a universal language that he successfully teaches to dancers around the globe.

Elvira Lambo

An experienced Argentine tango instructor and dancer, she creates magic on the dance floor with her partner, Mikhail—a duo that leaves a lasting impression on audiences through their flawless harmony, exquisite sense of rhythm, and bold, creative musical interpretations.
Their flexible approach to various tango styles and their precise teaching methodology—"The Tango Method"—have established El Gato & Lambo as leaders in the global Argentine tango community.
